Searching Movable Type with PHP
Mike Davidson asked for it:
“… why hasn’t someone just written a simple PHP function to query MT’s database and return a record set? Am I missing something here? Why would that be a hard/bad thing to do? If anyone is willing and able to do this, I, and plenty of other Movable Type users would be eternally thankful.”
So here I am with a copy of Hacking Movable Type and some free cycles. Bwahahaa …
Try it out (using the search box on this very site). It’s a work in progress, natch. Comments, questions and suggestions most welcome.
UPDATE: Progress on the Movable Type Plugin continues at a steady pace. On Friday, 7 October 2005, members of Six Apart’s ProNet community were invited to tire-kick the latest Pre-Alpha release. If you’re seriously interested in kicking tires too, please let me know. Thanks!
